So who is this Harley Mom anyway. I'm 48 years old (wonder
how often I'll come back and change that number! -- annually? -- hmmm), divorced since
1981, and the mother of 4 children. I graduated from Lemmon, SD High School in 1964 in
case any of you out there are from my old home town.OK, a GREAT BIG thank you to all of my
internet friends who reminded me that I forgot to change the 48 to a 49 on Nov. 26. Happy
Birthday to me! Happy now???
This is it. The last time I change it! After this, figure it out for
yourself. The big "five-OH-NO" is about to hit.
Early birthday party last summer with my cousin Irl Myhre from Alaska
-- yes -- old age sucks when you're trying to get up and down from a chair.
I started working as a legal secretary when I was 15, and then full-time
paralegal work after passing the CLA exam in the mid 70's. Since I married
young and didn't have a chance to go to college, I decided to study on
my own. So after work, and dinner, and laundry, and sewing, and cleaning,
and and and I read every law book I could get my hands on. It's a great,
fun job and I was with the last firm for 27 years.
Unfortunately I encountered health problems so have now retired. Always
wanted to retire at 50, but didn't expect it to be this way. Luckily the
man upstairs watches over me, and life is grand. I also own a mobile home
park and rental units which take up the rest of my spare time.
I am a member of many motorcycle organizations such as Harley Owners Group, Abate and
Women in the Wind. I am a former Guardian of the Brookings Job's Daughters Bethel and a
member of Eastern Star.
My hobbies include gardening, dance, theatre, piano, guitar, all kinds of nature, and
of course-----> |
